How to Get Custom Homeopathic Remedies Made
For when you can’t locate a homeopathic remedy you need!
This is the promised add-on article to the recent Obstacles to Cure: Drugs and also is a companion to Where to buy specialty, rare, and hard-to-find homeopathic medicines.
Sometimes it does happen that you can’t find a homeopathic remedy anywhere. This especially applies to ‘pharmacodes’ (drugs/medications in homeopathic potency).
For example, since I started helping my clients to clear and antidote past medication use, I discovered that there were a few commonly used over-the-counter drugs that no homeopathic pharmacy seemed to carry.
They were:
Benadryl (Diphenhydramine)
Mucinex (Guaifenesin)
Allegra (Fexofenadine)
When I inquired directly with Helios by email, they said they did have Benadryl; however they listed it as ‘Cetrizine, Allacan’. (Their spelling of Cetirizine.)
In the UK, the Benadryl formula seems to be Cetirizine. In the US, Cetirizine is Zyrtec. Helios did not stock the Benadryl formula which is most used in the US, which is Diphenhydramine HCl.
So I decided to have the three drugs listed above made into homeopathic potency. That way my clients could order them from Helios directly, just as they would order any other remedy, and it would be added to the inventory that is available for everyone. As a bonus, I would learn about the process.
Yes, in theory you could make your own homeopathic medicines. Watch this short video that shows Helios preparing both soluble and trituration remedies.
As you will see the trituration process is a lot more work (and therefore it costs more, if required). Trituration is how a non-soluble material (for example gold) gets prepared, in order to become soluble, and therefore get turned into homeopathic potency.
At least for me, I would rather pay to have this done correctly, in a sterile environment, by those with a lot of practice and all the right equipment!
Getting Custom Homeopathic Remedies Made by Helios
The first step is to reach out to Helios Customer Service and to confirm whether or not they have what you want already in stock.
As I explained extensively in the article about ordering from Helios, they have a great many homeopathic remedies that are not listed on their website, or even on their complete remedy list (which seems to only be updated every few years).
Once I confirmed that Helios did not have these three drugs in homeopathic form, and after checking all the sources I could think of (Ainsworths, HomeopathicRemediesOnline, Hahnemann Labs, OHM Pharma, and others), I inquired about having Helios make the medications into homeopathic potency.
They then connected me with the person in their company who handles this.
We had a few emails back and forth, mostly so I could understand procedure and pricing, and then I set about to get the source material.
I purchased a small pack of Benadryl (Diphenhydramine) locally. And I had a client who still owned a stock of Mucinex and Allegra mail a few tablets of each to me.
As I shared in the linked Substack note, it is easy and inexpensive to mail tablets, pills, etc in envelopes. Even to the UK.:
Next, I sent off a tablet of each medication in an envelope to Helios. This cost less than $2.00 and in about a week they confirmed receipt and also confirmed that the three tablets were soluble.
(Some people who don’t have little jewelry bags on hand could just make a little paper envelope for each tablet or pill, labelled of course.)
Here is the current pricing, keeping in mind things like this can change.
Soluble Items:
• £50 per item, including the ‘run up’ to 30C potency. (This item will then be available through Helios Pharmacy in 6C to 30C.)
(According to the woman I communicated with at Helios, not all pills and tablets are soluble. However, it’s low cost/risk to send pills/tablets/product to them, assuming you already have the source material. They will be in communication with you by email and will ask for a final approval from you before proceeding with anything.)
Note: If you have done a group proving of a new homeopathic remedy, they will do the above for free. In our case, we have not completed a ‘proving’, but are using tautopathy (simply, I took this medication and now I want to clear it with the same). So we are not adding new proving data to the Materia Medica of knowledge for all homeopaths.
Trituration Required:
£170 per item for the base preparation. Then an additional fee depending on what potency you require:
The minimum ‘run up charge’ is to 6C for £21.
Run up to 12C costs £25.
Run up to 30C costs £50.
Run up to 200C costs £100.
Run up to 1M costs £150.
Run up to 10M costs £300.
The final price will be the total run up charge(s), plus the cost of the bottles and postage to ship you whatever you desire. For example, if you want the 8g size in No 6 size pills of each, they will be charged just as a typical order would be. (Learn more about bottle and pills sizes here.)
All up, for the three over-the-counter drugs that I had them make into custom homeopathic medicines, I paid £146.96. That price included a 4g tube of each (No 3 size pills, which I prefer), the preparation of the soluble tablets into homeopathic potency up to 30C for £125 (they gave me a little discount for doing three at once, which would have otherwise come to £150), plus £7.08 shipping.
(Convert British Pounds to US Dollars here.)
It’s not exactly cheap. But if the remedy is important, it’s also not that bad. And, because I did this, now anyone can buy these newly added ‘pharmacodes’ directly from Helios. They are not listed on the website, and are not in the complete catalog (at least not until they update it again), so you would just email Helios and inquire directly, knowing they now have Benadryl (Diphenhydramine), Mucinex and Allegra in up to the 30C potency.
Hahnemann Labs lists directly on their website the prices for making custom homeopathic remedies. And I’m sure others could do it as well.
So far, I’ve been able to locate almost every drug in homeopathic potency that anyone has needed for clearing past medications. The only one that I have currently outstanding is Byetta (Exenatide). If anyone has a sample of this that we could use to get the homeopathic potency made, please let me know below!
I have no affiliation with Helios Homeopathy. For special homeopathic remedies they are my go-to source because they have such a huge inventory and offer excellent value. I do recommend them wholeheartedly. Of course, I also am not making specific recommendations to anyone, this is educational information for you to use as you see fit.

Wow! This is awesome information as I never even thought about having a professional lab make my remedy.
