What Is Homeopathy Good For? (Index of the Banerji Protocols)
Well, potentially any condition. Remember, homeopathy is a complete system of medicine. (And these are not supplements, herbs, or placebo.) The better the diagnosis—which is one of the few things ‘mainstream medicine’ is good for— often the better the results. It is true that you can use symptoms alone in homeopathy, but the whole point of the Banerji Protocols is to take advantage of clinically-tested and reproducible results— saving us time, money and suffering.
[Banerji is pronounced Bannerjee. The name Banerji is very common in India. Here we refer specifically to the Doctors Prasanta and Pratip Banjeri, father and son, both now deceased.]
These protocols, in general, are fairly-sweeping, so don’t get too caught up in minor diagnosis differentials. For instance, the same remedies or protocols often cover many types of heart disease, or lung disease, or asthma, or lupus, or fungal infections. So don’t get overly bogged down in a diagnostic name that is too specific. (Such as the specific family of bacteria or virus. Or maybe your Hepatitis has a fancy name… but it’s still hepatitis.)
Number 1: What is the condition and what is the closest protocol?
That’s where you start. Then it becomes a matter of case management (which is, honestly, the hardest part). If you get stuck, find a Practical Homeopath. Most will meet with you online, so location is not that important.
[A protocol is tried and tested on many patients/clients over time. It is not some combo you came up with that worked for a couple of people. The Banerji Protocols come from clinics in India where the doctors literally saw (between them and their team) 1,000 patients per day, six days a week, year after year. The Banerji family included four generations of homeopaths. Doctor Prasanta and Doctor Pratip Banerji developed these clinically-tested protocols which may be used with reproducible results in many people. For more details read the introduction to the book.]
THE BANERJI PROTOCOLS INDEX
Below you will find an index of all the protocols that are in The Banerji Protocols and Additional Banerji Protocols books.
I have also included some additional homeopathic protocols from the Banerjis that they had on their website for free. Basically everything published from them can be found below.
For those of you who are new to homeopathy, this will illustrate the range of conditions covered by homeopathy.
For those of you who already use the Banerji Protocols, this is a searchable resource for you.
[Remember, I am not a medical doctor and don’t diagnose or make any claims. I just observe over and over again what homeopathy can do, and am continually amazed and grateful for these true medicines.]
Use this page as a quick searchable reference for The Banerji Protocols.
Yes, you must buy the books to get the actual protocols! (Copyright on the book and respect to the authors.)
For the nominal cost in dollars, these books are worth their weight in gold.
However, although the books are wonderful references, they are not organized optimally (or edited perfectly). It can be time consuming to find what you need in them. So search this page to find a protocol and then look it up in your books.
HOW TO SEARCH THIS PAGE
While on this page type Command F (Mac) or Control F (PC) and enter your search word.
Tips:
Try more than one search term.
Keep it simple, such as Cyst, or Bleeding, or Gallbladder.
Consider that Ear Infection may be found under Otitis Media.
Liver may be Hepatic (though I generally tried to add common words for searchability).
Try ‘Gastro’ if looking for anything like gastrointestinal or gastroenteritis.
It would be impossible to include an exhaustive list of everything that can be treated with homeopathy. Why? Because homeopathy can address any human condition. (As far as we know!)
If you’ve ever heard someone say homeopathy ‘didn’t work for me’, that’s like saying diet didn’t work for me, or exercise didn’t work for me, or medicine didn’t work for me. It’s a statement so broad as to be meaningless.
There are literally thousands of remedies. So, which remedy did they choose? (Was it correct?) What potency did they use? How frequently and for how long?
One remedy or one protocol may not ‘work’, or may not finish the job; but I know from experience that a little persistence can go a long way. Persistence both in taking the remedies regularly (some conditions may take a year or more to resolve) and also persistence in pivoting and changing remedies until you find the ‘right’ one(s).
And you will see in the Banerji Protocol books that many conditions have two or three lines. (That means alternate protocols.) Line 1 is considered to treat ~80% of people. (We should nearly always start with Line 1!) The other line or two are for the cases that don’t respond at all after using Line 1 for at least 8 weeks, if not longer. Only if we run out of protocols must we resort to the repertory, old-school style.
[A quick note on ‘responding’ to the protocols. I’ll have much more to say on this in the future. We are looking for a shift in the right direction in the first 8 weeks. Less frequent, less intense, one part resolved even if another not yet, hyperactivity down from a 10 to an 7, pain down from an 8 to a 3, two steps forward one step back. Remember, some conditions take TIME to uproot. And one of the most common mistakes people make is abandoning a good medicine too soon.]
Also, keep in mind that colds and flus are the hardest to treat. (I think that is where a lot of people decide that homeopathy didn’t work for them.) The symptoms often vary from person to person, and may change from day to day, which can be like trying to shoot at a moving target. Do not get discouraged if you don’t do well treating colds and flus at first. Even seasoned homeopaths struggle with this. (However, there are great remedies for cold and flu prevention, if you catch it right away!)
REMINDER: USE THIS RESOURCE…
You can find many conditions at Joette Calabrese’s site. She is a seasoned homeopath who has been posting free information for the public to her blog for many years. She covers many homeopathic remedies for acute issues, as well as Bonerji Protocols for common conditions. (She is one of the very few who studied directly under the Doctors Banerji in India for many years, and has been instrumental in bringing these protocols to the US. I am a grateful graduate of her school.)

A FEW MORE CONDITIONS
Here are a few more conditions that are not included in the books. (Just to illustrate how many conditions are addressed by homeopathy and how many protocols there are.) This page is not exhaustive— I could go on for days! And yes, there are other unpublished Banerji Protocols from Joette Calabrese’s notes. ( I have about 400 PDF-size pages of protocols and will share much more in the coming months and years.)
Remember to check Joette’s site if you are searching for quick and reliable information. (Even better than searching her site is to type in your web browser Joette and the name of the condition you are looking for. If she wrote about it, and you are using the correct search term, you should see the page in the top search results.)

*If you have serious pain you may need help from a professional. The lower potencies, taken only twice a day, or even every few hours, very well may not cut it. You need the right remedy, the right potency, and the right frequency. With those three factors homeopathy can (naturally) address even extreme pain.
Whew! That was a lot to share. I hope you enjoy this resource.
Yes, you may ask me about other issues. However, only paid subscribers may comment. If you subscribe and ask me a question I will do my best to give you a clear answer.
But keep in mind that everybody always wants to give me a quick description and get a quick answer. Often a homeopath truly needs to take the case and then spend additional time researching in order to choose the appropriate protocols and remedies. (This is not soliciting work. I am posting all of this to eventually lighten my load! It is just fact.)
If you are trying to save money, YOU can learn how to do this yourself. One of my primary goals is to help you do this! So subscribe (all content is free), and start learning.
In short, ask away, but I may not be able to give you a succinct answer to a complicated question that needs (much) more info. Thanks for understanding!
I was looking at the Banerji Protocols and noticed many protocols for cancer, but I am looking for cancer related pain relief for my cat. She has a sarcoma around her ear and it is obviously irritating to her. Would arnica work? She was on ars/ant and hypericum post op but that site is healed, so I'm not sure what to give her. It is amazing to look at all the protocols in the Banerji book and the additional book and realize how much hope and healing these methods have brought to the world! We have lots of chronic conditions in my family that I am hoping to improve with these.
Thanks! I'm much better at searching this way than the book index. I don't have the Additional Banerji Protocols book yet, but it's on the list.
