I'm still taking Emerald 30C twice daily. Hearing effects have leveled off and have not noticed an improvement in eyesight.

Can your TT-1 replicate CH potencies? I would dowse to see if a 7CH would be more appropriate for your eyes. There is more to CH's than just being similar to C's. French doctors use 7CH to regulate whatever you are addressing. 3 or 4CH is used to stimulate...again dowse before deciding which is better.

In terms of preparation the C and CH are incredibly similar. The TT-1 does not differentiate C, CH— or CK which is slightly different in preparation, but in practice I haven’t seen a difference with results. I have tried lower potencies for the Emerald for me, I’ve actually tried quite a few variations, but I try to streamline things when sharing with the larger audience. :)

Betsey, I appreciate your pointing out that there is more to the CH’s than meets the eye.

Worth noting for TT-1 specifically: since it's a radionic instrument rather than a physical remedy-making process, it isn't performing succussion or using vials at all, it's keyed to a potency code representing dilution level. So the CH distinction doesn't really map onto how the instrument works the way it would when comparing two physical remedies. But your broader point stands, potency and preparation method deserve real thought rather than assuming C and CH are simply interchangeable. Thank you for the correction.

Hi Betsey! I believe you are referring to a specific clinical philosophy popularized by French homeopaths regarding how different levels of dilution affect the body. It is my understanding that there is no chemical/material difference in how "CH" is manufactured versus a standard "C," just a difference in regional nomenclature. More info on this would be welcome if you have it :-)

Another information masterpiece! Thank you.

Exceptional, just like all your write ups. You’re writing on homeopathy transports me to another century.

I woke up at 4:30AM the other day and couldn’t go back to sleep so I started ordering homeopathic remedies and Emerald is one of the ones I ordered! I don’t know if I first heard of it from you, or by looking it up for a friend with eye floaters and vision fatigue. I don’t mind wearing readers or computer screen glasses, but of course I’d love to improve my vision, so I’ll be trying it 2x/day in 30c and see how it goes!

Excellent article! Very informative with deep insights. Thank you for researching and adding applications and building context. Your work enhances my understanding of homeopathy at another level. Thank you.

Hi Emily,

In this moment in time, if you could only own either Robin Murphy's Repertory and Materia Medica or Colin Griffiths New Materia Medica 3 volumes, which would you choose? Thanks. :)

Emily Marshall's avatar

Definitely Murphy’s to start. Those are our bread and butter. The New Materia Medica volumes are like condiments.

Emily, can we talk "off camera" about the Vitalis and its possibilities? I have used an SE-5 radionics instrument for 20+ years. Would like to share a few ideas.

Hi Betsey, you can direct message me through substack if you would like.

Betsey's avatar

Tried to do substack, but I don't understand how to communicate with you there. I thought it best to keep my comments only directed to you. Was just going to share a few ideas I found effective when I was an active practitioner. They might be helpful to some in our group.

I appreciate your breadth of knowledge and ability to communicate well with our group. Thank you for sharing with us!

Your article encourages me to try Emerald, especially for my eyes. Where in the Bionetix Rates might I find Emerald? I have searched the list and not found it.

Emily Marshall's avatar

It is on line 10844 (EMERALD 963948). I recommend everyone always type search for what you seek, versus scrolling. (Command+F or Control+F and then type the word.)

Thank you!

I keep returning to this post because it has several things that interest me. One question re the Colin Griffith books. I will likely get them all eventually, but for now I'm especially interested in the gem remedies. Are these discussed in just one volume, or across all three books?

One of our cats is about to give birth for the second time. Long story, but she was older than most when she became pregnant early this year (around 5 years old), and two of the kittens died, I am speculating because the birth may have taken too long, as the kittens were large and perfectly formed. I am planning to give her Emerald, as I see it has an indication for easy birth. Is there anything else I should consider? I was looking at Caulophyllum for shortening labor (the document I have says you can give it in 6x for three weeks before birth), but I've also heard it can induce labor, which we definitely don't want in a cat before the due date.

Also, this attracted my attention: "Encourages the body to let go of the offending or diseased part without storing the memory of trauma to the surrounding tissue. (This is particularly important in cases when the disease of the part to be removed has not yet fulfilled its purpose as is often the case in the growth of warts and polyps that are all too often removed before they are ‘mature’.)" We have a cat that appears to have a papilloma virus growth on his ear, at least that's what the vet thinks. I am wondering if Emerald would help his body to get rid of it naturally. It doesn't seem to bother him and is not bleeding at all. I would really like to treat it naturally as opposed to having it removed, so any suggestions would be welcome.

As for Caulophyllum, it doesn’t bring on birth prematurely, in fact, like most remedies, it acts both ways— it can also prevent miscarriages. The general protocol around labor, if there is a history of issues especially, is Caulophyllum 6X daily for the last month.

Hi Aniela, The gemstones are throughout the books, not just in one. I haven’t used Emerald for any of the things you mentioned, but I do have a lot of people using Emerald frequently (30C twice a day) for a variety of reasons, and no has had any issues with it. I wouldn’t hesitate to try it. As for growths, a few doses of anything generally isn’t going to do it— more like Thuja 30C twice a day over months. :)

Aniela Connelly's avatar

P.S. I have already given him Thuja a few times without any visible effect. It's a pretty large growth, I'd say maybe 3/8 of an inch across at the base and seems to keep growing.

Hi Emily!

Were the canker sores the only sign you had to back off and take less often? I am wondering what to look for in order to gauge the right dose.

Emily Marshall's avatar

Once I experienced the canker sores, and figured it out, I found I could feel an internal sensation that would warn me that it was going to happen again. One dose a week is okay, but two days in a row and I would feel the 'pressure' start, so to speak. But, like I explained, it is in the nerve, so it's subtle. And no one else has experienced anything like it. You are very self-aware, and this is just like any new remedy where we observe what is happening when we take it. :)
